Welcome to CSANT CT Imaging!
What is CT Scanning?
CAT stands for “computerized axial tomography.” A CAT (or CT) scan uses super-thin X Ray images (slices) through the body for excellent definition and resolution.
What is CT Angiography?
Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA) is an imaging test that uses high-resolution x-ray scanning technology with intravenous contrast dye to see a detailed view of the body’s arteries that supply blood throughout the body.
With the 64-slice scanner, three dimensional reconstruction and evaluation of the arteries of the vascular system is done with outstanding clarity and resolution. Images of the head, neck, chest, abdomen and legs give physicians the diagnostic tools they need to develop prevention and treatment strategies for their patients.
CT scanning is non-invasive and carries less risk to the patient than other procedures such as Catheter Angiography that is invasive and requires inserting a catheter into an artery through the patient’s groin. The patient can usually go home after outpatient CT scanning, with little to no recovery time.
